How much would you pay to start an online business?

I guess in reality, I could rephrase this question as “how much have you already dumped into trying to start an online business?”…and the answers may be relatively close.

Unlike conventional offline businesses, starting an online business should not be costly, nor should it take up the same amount of resources. I know people in the restaurant business and they are tied down to their jobs (yes, it is pretty much like a job) 15-16 hours day, only to make $100K per year. Some of them are even making less.

That stress is not worth it and starting something like a restaurant can cost easily $100,000 before you have even made a penny!

The problem is that people have the notion that starting something online could potential cost the same. There are advertising costs, website costs, hosting costs, training costs, support costs…not to mention your own time and energy.

BUT, what most people DON’T understand is that cut all of those costs out for you within WA (other than your time which is still required….sorry!)

We include everything you need within WA.

We have the training. We have the 1-on-1 support. We have the community. We have the keyword tools. We have the content tools. We have the niche tools and reports. We have the hosting. We have the website builder. We have EVERYTHING you need to succeed in today’s online business world.

The thing that most people don’t understand before joining is that Kyle and myself truly do care about our members. Unlike most companies you are probably used to, we continue to improve our offering at WA on a weekly basis. We also work 1-on-1 with many members to help them reach success online.

Our motto has always been, your success is our success….and we have lived true to this.

So, if you join Wealthy Affiliate today, you are not only going to get in at the lowest price it will ever be again, $39/mth…

You are getting EVERYTHING you need to succeed online, to start your own business, and to start working towards massive Internet success!
Start a business now for $39! You would be crazy not to take advantage of this price.

I just want to make sure we are clear on a few things here.

If you are currently a member of WA or if you join Wealthy Affiliate before June 7th, you WILL NOT be subject to the price increase.

This means that even if you are a yearly member and your membership recurs one year from now, you will still be in at the grandfathered price.

This also means that if you are a monthly member before June 7th and want to upgrade to a yearly (and save $10/mth) at a later date, you will be able to do this.

Ultimately, IF YOU ARE A MEMBER BEFORE JUNE 7TH, YOU WILL NEVER BE SUBJECT TO A PRICE INCREASE.

Fair enough?

If you are unsure about any of this, please contact one of us in the forum.

Again, members of WA before June 7th, 2010 will not be affected by the price increase in any way.

Have a wonderful day and I look forward to the exciting things coming to members next month and throughout 2010. I also look forward to hearing about your success!

Wealthy Affiliate members post success stories each and every day, but we wanted to let you know about one of our more popular success stories of all-time!

The story begins with Chad, a 31 year-old attorney from Florida learned how to become a $59,666.19/month Internet marketer within a year at Wealthy Affiliate! ONE YEAR!
This may seem crazy to you, but it is true. We have created a page with a screenshot of his actual success post. We also elaborate more on his story.

GET Chad’s Story Here…

This level of success is achievable at WA and we can honestly say that Chad is not our most successful member. Since we started Wealthy Affiliate in 2005, we have created million dollar members, many of which our regular contributors and ‘hang’ within the forum at WA!

The crazy part is that we have much more successful members than this at Wealthy Affiliate that came to us with NO EXPERIENCE!

What would you pay to hang out with “million dollar” marketers on a regular basis? I think you would be willing to pay more than $39 per month…and to be honest with you, all the successful people within WA are very generous and they tend to give back and help others out on a regular basis.

So take a minute and find out all about Chad’s story.

Today I want to chat with you about education prices.

I don’t know about you, but when I went to college it came with a very high price tag. I believe it was just over $12,000 for a 2.5 year diploma taking a computer science course.

Yes, it was a good education, but was it really worth $12,000. I got thinking about this…

What do you pay for when you go to school?

Tuition is a huge expense, and this typically covers the teachers and the facility. Yes, it does cost money to operate a school. However, a college or university is a business and they are all about “earning money”. So, obviously their costs are WAY lower than the costs to run.

In fact, some of these University’s are publicly traded and after the teachers, administration and working staff are paid out their high wages (don’t forget the Dean of every department), they are on average 16-20% in the net profit.

Here is an example stock of public educational corporation Devry Inc:

http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3ADV

And don’t forget about your books. Geez, I remember walking to the book store with a heavy wallet and walking out feeling violated. I was paying upwards of $200 for a book that I likely would not even open as all the training was online. But guess what, this book was REQUIRED…meaning in order to take the course, I had to have it. Another cash grab.

And then there is residence, food, travel, parking…the list goes on and on. Before you know it, your “extra” expenses on top of your education can easily amount to another $10,000 per year.

I was reading a report the other day stating the average 4 year education is a minimum of $20,000…and that is on the low end. For what?

An awesome job waiting for you? Not usually. Maybe if you work your butt of and send out 100 resumes to every employer in town, you might start of at a Newbie Pay Level, or $40,000 per year. However, if you went straight into the work force instead of getting educated, you would have a 4 year advantage over someone else. I know first hand as an employer that we hire based on “experience” not “education”.

A bunch of newly acquired knowledge? I guess to some degree. I can honestly say that after I finished school I had forgotten 90% of what was taught to me within the 1st year…and I also didn’t utilize 90% of what was taught to me! Also, every single exam becomes a “cram exam” and by this I mean, you cram knowledge (and a bunch of coffee) into your brain the night before you are tested…and then this info is deleted from your brain the next day after the exam.

Applied knowledge? Not really…most schools put there emphasis on theoretical knowledge. It is like trying to learn how to play basketball from a book. It doesn’t happen. You become good once you apply your knowledge, ie, once you finish school and get a job. So, in theory, in order to become good, you need to finish school first. I can 100% guarantee you that if you spent 4 years in a job, you would be way further ahead in skill level, experience, and common sense knowledge than someone that was doing the same study in school for 4 years.

A piece of paper? Now we are onto something. When you graduate you have a piece of paer to hang on your wall. Yeah, that is about it. I left college with a piece of friggin’ paper.

No high paying job. No career in place. And really, I did not feel like I had acquired a skill just yet as I had not been put in the real world, with real experienced people.

So, I paid $12,000 and invested 2.5 years of my time into school only to come out with a feeling of “uncertainty” and “being under prepared”.

What I did do well I was in school, is what prepared me for where I am at today. I started working on my own Internet marketing business in the first year of school…and as you may have heard from some of my writings in the past, on a credit card I borrowed from my girlfriend.

By year 2 of school I was earning more than all of my professors and likely more than the Dean of Computer Science. People were shocked as I pulled up to school in my brand new car and as I paid cash for my tuition fees…apparently something that is not common place for “students”.

I left college with no debt because of the fact that I worked on my own business during the time I was in college. Kind of an oxymoron as apparently you are not supposed to be prepared for the “real world” until you finish school.

Now I ask myself, was that a big waste of time. Where would I be now if I could get back those 8 hours/day I was at school for the 2.5 years I was there. Would I be more successful? Would I have helped more people succeed by now?

Conclusively, I fully believe the answer is yes.

The reason I am telling you all of this is because I know the type of education we offer at Wealthy Affiliate and I know how undervalued it is at $39. I also know how much you will learn and how you will learn a lot of the applied principles that you would even learn in the top Universities around the world.

I also know that at our new price (on June 7th) of $97 we will still be a more than fair offer.

Within the first couple of months you can start earning money at Wealthy Affiliate. For some people this is much quicker, for some a bit slower…but you get the point.

It does not take 4 years of education before you can earn a substantial amount of income.

In fact, by my 6th month online I was earning $10K and I think the opportunities now are equivalent to, if not greater then when I started!

So, here you have it. We are offering our training, tools, support and services at Wealthy Affiliate for one last week at the ridiculous (very ridiculous price) of $39/mth. Our Internet marketing education is better than any Unverisity can provide out there…why?

Because it is based on our experience, not a textbook.

We teach what works. We know what works. And you will be able to learn and implement what works.

You have only 3 days left to get the most affordable education of your life. You could become a member at WA for 4 years for $1400….not $20,000 and you can do it from the comfort of yoru own home, a coffee shop, or while on vacation. Think about it! Join today…you will be impressed.

Cheers,

Dan

Today I want to chat to you about the main components of Internet marketing. The two items that lead to success…and the two items that people tend to have a tough time wrapping their heads around.

First, Research…then Action.

One of the biggest problems people have and my natural fear for you is that you will spend all of your time learning and researching, but when it comes to the actual “action” part you never take the leap.

We always like to go back to the “surgeon” example. You cannot become an expert surgeon, nor can you make money as a surgeon by reading a book. You need to apply what you learn in school, and perform a real-life working practicum before you become qualified (and can actually work on people and make money doing so).

The same goes for Internet marketing. You cannot read a tutorial, watch a video, or follow through a guide and expect to become highly successful. You need to “apply” what you have learned. In other words, you need to…

TAKE ACTION.

I do know this can be tough for some people. When you take action, you can fail. However, without failing, you cannot succeed. It really is a catch 22. You cannot hit a homer the first time you step to the plate! You cannot make a million bucks the first campaign you create.

Because of the “scared to fail” thinking, we suggest this:

Spend 50% of your time learning and researching at WA.

Spend the other 50% of your time taking action on what you learn. In other words implementing.

An action could be:

-building a web page

-building an ad group

-writing an article

-signing-up to an affiliate program

-making a blog post

-creating a website

-designing a graphic

-creating an advertising account (Adwords, Bing)

-submitting an article

-getting incoming links to your article, blog, or website

-etc.

Anything that is an implementation step (not reading, not research, not playing), can be considered an “action”.

Action leads to success. If you have been spending all of your time learning thus far, you need to incorporate action steps into your daily marketing activities. It does not have to be huge steps as you need to get to the first base camp before you can get to the top of the mountain.

Add together all your monthly bills…
Now divide the total of your whole monthly obligation by 30.
This gives you your daily cost of living.

Knowing you have to pay thousands of dollars per month on
bills can be strenuous on your mind. Instead, if you look at
the daily cost, it’s not so big and scary.

For example, last time I added mine up it worked out to $4,676
and when divided by 30 equals $155.86 (per day).

$156 dollars is not so scary. Plus, now I know all I need is one
or a couple websites that bring in that amount per day and all
my bills are paid for each month.

For my situation I figured I only needed 20 campaigns that
each made $8/day and my bills were clear.

What does yours work out to?
